Belarus Free Theatre, touring throughout April and May in the New York theatre “La Mama”, spent 19 April at an evening of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners as part of the civil campaign “Free Belarus Now”.

Belarusian human rights defenders and journalists have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the act of terrorism on the Minsk metro. This is stated in the report of the International Observation Mission of the Committee on International Control over the situation concerning human rights in Belarus.

On 18 April at 17:56 there was an explosion at “Oktyabraskaya” metro station.

On 10 April representatives of the civil campaign “European Belarus” took part in activities associated with the anniversary of the air crash near Smolensk.

A coordinator of “European Belarus”, Dmitrii Bondarenko, has finished acquainting himself with the materials of his criminal case.

The leader of the civil campaign “European Belarus” and presidential candidate, Andrei Sannikov, is continuing to acquaint himself with the criminal case, whereby he has been accused of organising so-called “mass riots” on 19 December.
