Meeting of the leaders of «European Belarus» with European ambassadors
Particular attention was paid to the difficult situation of political prisoners.
«European Belarus» civic campaign coordinators Andrej Sannikau and Dzmitry Bondarenka met in Warsaw with ambassadors of a number of European countries.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Lithuania to Belarus Asta Andrijauskiene, the Representative of the Swedish Government to the democratic forces of Belarus Ambassador Kristina Johannesson, the Special Representative of Estonia to the democratic forces of Belarus Marko Koplymaa, and the Special Representative of Poland to the democratic forces of Belarus, Ambassador Artur Michalski.
During the meeting, the situation in Belarus was discussed. Particular attention was paid to the difficult situation of political prisoners. The need for decisive action by European countries to free them was emphasized.
Issues regarding the prospects for relations between a democratic Belarus and Europe were also discussed.
