Activists of “European Belarus” detained in Minsk
Andrei Molchan, Danil Goncharov, Andrei Bajin and Oleg Rogovskii, activists of the civil campaign "European Belarus", have been detained today in Minsk.
In the morning, police came to the activists of “European Belarus”, Andrei Bajin and Andrei Molchanov, with a search warrant; they seized computers and took the activists to the Moscow District Police Department of Minsk for interrogation about setting fire to a court building.
The activists were arrested at home at seven o’clock in the morning. In Minsk a total “cleanup” took place, as police officers also broke down the doors of other activists of “European Belarus”.
During the day police came with a search warrant to the activist of “European Belarus”, Oleg Rogowskii. They seized his computer hard drive, and also took him to the Moscow District Police Department of Minsk for interrogation.
We remind you that recently searches and interrogations in this matter have been carried on more than a dozen pro-democracy activists, including Vlad Berezovskii, Nikita Velikoborets, Georgii Rusak, Arsenii Gurskii, Oleg Selivanov, Evgenii Ossinskii, Oleg Yarosenya, Igor Kudlaev and Aleksandr Kudlaev.
Arsenii Gurskii, Oleg Selivanov and Evgenii Ossinskii were under arrest for three days.
After the interrogation and the drawing up of a protocol of the interrogation, Andrei Molchan, Danil Goncharov, Andrei Bajin and Oleg Rogovskii were released from the Moscow District Police Department of Minsk. Investigators were interested in where they had been on the night of arson and whether they had alibis. One of the detainees saw a list of activists, which was entitled “The activists of the radical group ‘European Belarus’ “, on the table at the investigator’s office.
Fingerprinting was carried out on the hands and feet of the activists. Andrei Molchan refused to be fingerprinted.
