A rally has taken place in support of Andrei Sannikov at Molodechno (Photos)

Activists of the civil campaign "European Belarus" have held a rally in support of Andrei Sannikov, who was recently transferred to the prison in Novopolotsk.

Activists handed out leaflets to the residents of the city, which described all the ordeals through which the candidate has passed: being beaten up, arrested along with his wife Irina Khalip on the Square on 19 December, tortured in jail, threatened by the KGB chairman that his family would be “dealt with”, and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment in a strict regime prison.

The rally was held as part of the campaign “Sannikov is our president!”
