The leader of the civil campaign “European Belarus”, Andrei Sannikov, questioned in the presence of a lawyer
On 16 February an interrogation took place of Andrei Sannikov, a former presidential candidate, who is accused of participation in the organisation of riots on 19 December and whom the KGB is holding in prison.
During the interrogation, Paul Sapelko, the lawyer (of Sannikov), was present. Concerning the current meeting with his client, Paul Sapelko is saying nothing, as he did at previous meetings, referring to the secrecy of the investigation. About the state of health of his client, the lawyer said, “In matters of health I am not an expert, and in general I cannot say anything.”
