Authorities found Franak Vyachorka able-bodied for military service
A trial over the case of youth leader Franak Vyachorka was closed in absence behind the closed doors last week.
This morning, lawyer of Franak Vyachorka phoned to the Tsentralny district court to learn if a trial over the case of appeal against the medical conclusion took place on that day. She learnt from the court that the trial had been held on Friday January 13, Franak Vyachorka had been found able-bodied for military service, and the court decision had been sent to Franak Vyachorka’s residence, the press service of the Belarusian Popular Front reports.
Franak Vyachorka received a telephone call from the Tsentralny district militia department on Friday and was invited to appear before the court at 4.00 p.m. on Friday.
“We have never seen such an outrageous violation of all procedures since Lukashenka is in power. The trial was closed, the plaintiff was absent, he was deceived and told the wrong date of the trial,” Vintsuk Vyachorka said.
On January 16, Franak Vyachorka was forcefull caught in a hospital war, where he taking medical examination, and guarded to the military enlistment office. He was said there he would be sent to a military unit in some hours. Franak had a determent due to eye surgery and some chronic diseases. He had to appear before another medical commission in the republican military hospital.
On January 17, Franak Vyachorka appealed the court against actions of the militarymen and medical workers during the drafting campaign. The youth activist demanded that military commissions preserve principle of equality for all draftees.
The Tsentralny district court of Minsk warned the military enlistment office that Franak Vyachorka couldn’t be called up until his complaint wasn’t considered.
