Yarmoshyna wasn’t allowed to OSCE seminar
Head of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna won’t be able to take part in OSCE conference on observing the election due to visa restrictions for EU entry.
“OSCE seminar on election related issues is to take place in Vienna on 21-22 July. Nadzeya Kisyalyova, head of the CEC Legal Department, will take part in it. Logically, I should participate in similar seminars, but as you know I am banned from entering Austria,” L. Yarmoshyna said on a press conference in Minsk today.
She said OSCE observers are to arrive in Belarus in August. She will have a meeting with head of CIS observing mission CIS secretary Sergei Lebedev. Besides, the Central Election Commission sent invitations to observe the elections to CEC of CIS countries as well as Lithuania and Latvia.
It should be reminded that the Belarusian CEC head is banned from entering the EU and the US due to falsification in electoral campaigns in Belarus since 1996.
